This inflammatory reaction helps to clean the area and prepare it for subsequent stages.

During this phase, the bone gradually remodels and aligns itself to its original shape through the activity of osteoclasts and osteoblasts. Excess callus material is resorbed, and the bone undergoes reshaping to regain its strength and function.
A successful fracture healing process ultimately results in the complete restoration of the bone's mechanical integrity, allowing the affected individual to regain mobility and normal function.
